The Biting School presents
The Book of Kings - Open Rehearsal
Thursday August 1, 2019 | 4-6pm
Scotiabank Dance Centre
677 Davie Street, Vancouver
This will be an open rehearsal where we might not have anything specifically crafted “to show”. There you can see how we work, how we look like and sound like. We will use your presence and energy towards the building of our work. We will be grateful for your presence. The rehearsal door will be open to anybody who wishes to drop by, come and go as you wish.
This is a research and creation process inspired by Shahnameh (The Book of Kings). Shahnameh is the celebrated work of Ferdowsi, in which the Persian national epic stories found their final and enduring form. It is a poem of nearly 60,000 verses, a history of the kings of Persia from mythical times to the 7th century.
